Over the weekend we got to shoot a proposal session, these are literally my favorite sessions! I can't believe I used to get back in the day so worries about them, With time and practice things definitely change and have a new meaning, because right now I am counting minute til the next proposal session I get to be part of! 

It has been about 4 years since the last time I visited the Austin Botanical Garden, I spent a summer volunterring at the rose garden and absolutely loved the experience. Not much has changed since then and the garden is just as beautiful as I remembered it to be. These days I am actively trying to practice videography so  every chance I get I set up the camera for a quick clip! That day I didn't have a tripod with me so I tried to be as creative as I could with propping the camera against the wall or on my bag for shots.

 After that we grabbed a drink at Codependent a stylish lounge that serve cocktail and coffee, located at West Downtown Austin, at Market District. This place is one of my favorites at the moment, with all the changes that has been happening in Austin I am so used to my favorite places closing down and changing owners, but I am really praying this one stays open for a while.

We visited Houston Art Museum over the last month and I tried to take some photos on my iPhone App NOMOCAM that way I didn't have to bother with editing my personal photos on top of all the client work I have to edit. ​

After one year delay due to the pandemic and 2 reschedules we are finally reaching to our wedding day! It looks like is going to be a small and private gathering with very minimal preparations. We are so grateful to our wedding planner that has helped with lifting up so much from our shoulders (totally recommend hiring one it makes such a big difference!) ​

Not that there are any shortage of vloggers on the Internet but I am experimenting with different ways of telling my story specially with the way social media has been these years less and less people are able to see artist's works and creations. In the video segment below we discussed how the change of logarithms across social media has impact in photographers livelihood and exposure. ​

I have a new camera body! I don't even know how it all started - but for the past months despite having two other new cameras I kept going to my old 5D Mark II for everything video and pictures! I just love the Canon 5D Mark Series so I sold my Fujifilm XT2 and Canon 6D and bought a mirrorless EOS R that apparently has the sensor of 5D Mark series. I wanted a camera that I could use for both video and pictures and had a better audio focus abilities. 

Yesterday I took it out for the first test at mayfield park and pushed it to the extreme shooting at 8pm that it was super dark with ISO around 4000 - I have to say the images become pixilated shooting that dark but if I have to photograph in this condition it is good to know that I can still use them :) ​
