I absolutely enjoy collaborating with brands and creating content for them, here is another opportunity that I had to work with a local brand here in Austin Texas, The product that is featured is Satin Touch mineral BB cream and for that I tried to go for a more relaxing blogger/vlogger style content for this session, to match the light feeling of the product. I hope you enjoy it. Here is another practice with product photography and videography with a bottle of Facial Mist I already had, I set up all of this in a nearby park, since the bottle was very minimal I tried to add in white roses to match the white minimal label and the laundry concept to flow in the wind to emphasis the freshness the mist creates. I really want to be able to tell a stronger story and combine portraiture/lifestyle with product photoshoots I know there is so much to improve still but I am pretty content with how this set turned out. This was one of the most difficult set up shoot to date for me. Moments after I started to shoot the day turned out into a windy mess to the point it flipped up the table cloth multiples times and finally dropped the vase full of water on the table. As a result I only had very little time to create before had to pack up and come indoors, nonetheless I really like what I was able to create in those few couple shots, it also taught me I don't need to spend the whole day create a set. All of these images were taken on a tripod all by myself.
I have been so excited to share this collaboration as this is the first time I was able to create some promotional content material for a local brand. They provided me with some of the props and I was able to create off their idea and do some more creative plans to come up with other content material. I shot all the footages and images on my own using tripod. Our daily photography challenge has turned into a weekly challenge and with that said this week's challenge was to photograph what is in your bag/purse. Since I have not been out of the house for a while, I gathered this challenge could be a hypothetical concept where If it was a possibility to step out of the house this would be my chosen purse at the moment. I tried the flat lay with a while background first and it really didn't do the set up a justice, so I switched it up with pink and it gave it a more vintage dreamy look. During the edit I tried low contrast and texture tweaks to create a soft dreamy look to emphasize a concept rather than a reality as it is in our case at the moment.
Today's challenge was to shoot your favorite film camera and mine without a doubt is Petri 7S - I fell for this camera in the first sight and it's my most precious film camera possession. I shot it in two different set up just for fun!
Quarantine life is a good opportunity to get back into practicing product photography for me, so luckily some of my Photogrpaher fiend joined the challenge and for the first day we decided on tea or coffee set up. I did a quick flat lay with everything I could fine in the house and since it was a cloudy day I had to be strategic to have my cameras and set up ready for those few moment that sun peaked through the window to shoot. That's why I ended up with two sets, the first 3 pictures are with Canon 5D Mark II + 50mm 1.4 lens and the last 2 are with Fujifilm X-T2 + Film Marco Lens.
I have found a new interest and that is Product Photography, when the skincare line "Yeouth" reached out to me via instagram for trying out their new Anti Aging Serum, I got so excited to shoot their product. However, this day the light was not cooperating and kept changing every 10 seconds and as a result some of the colors turned out over saturated but I was able to post editing process change the color tones to a vintage more low contrast vibe to match the bottle and esthetic of the product package. The brand was happy with the result at the end and so was I.
