We walked into the Quarantine phase with a sudden public fear for grocery and in a matter of couple days it was close to impossible to find any basic needs, toilet paper, milk, egg and can goods as well as rice and pasta were from the first items that disappeared from the stores.

Our tiny toy poodle lost all of her teeth as the chaos was unfolding! Exactly 2 weeks before the quarantine started she had a surgery and they couldn't save any of her teeth! Looking back I am glad we were able to take care of it before everything started and the timing worked out great because we were home through her healing period and now she is the happiest she has ever been. She has adjusted to eating her mashed food and her favorite snack apple in puree form, for once her favorite activity is eating!

My job permitted us to work from home on March 16th, the first couple of weeks it was a challenge to get the system set up at home with VPN. Since I was only a month into the job with Help Desk being overwhelmed I had to borrow someone's laptop and work through some software issues to get into our VPN system and be able to work remotely. Thankfully after the two weeks Help Desk was able to catch up and update the system and my account access.

Occasionally we went out for a walk in the neighborhood, but then we realized we had a Corona Positive household in the neighborhood that was caught not wearing protection walking their dog, so we never went on those occasional walks after that anymore.

Then came our own nightmare, out of nowhere one of Josh's eye got an infection, it got so painful and itchy that he had to go to ER and they put him on antibiotic, after two days there was no improvement. Then he went to an eye clinic to see a specialized doctor and they put him on an even stronger antibiotic all while he started running fevers and not feeling so well. During these critical time the hospital and clinic is the last place you would want to be and here he had to repeatedly keep visiting medical facilities. Then we saw on the news some coronations between the virus and eye infection and immediately Josh put himself under Quarantine for two weeks.

did everything I could from behind the door, I cooked him the most nutritious meals I could with what we had and researched all the natural remedies I could find. Some of which was to make him gargle every two hours with warm water and salt to disinfect his throat and mouth. We didn't give him any fever reducing medicine because we wanted the body to naturally fight whatever it was inside his body and kill it with the high heat. Twice a day I made him eucalyptus steam, I would boil a pot of water and then I'd drop handful of dry eucalyptus leaves as well as the natural 100% therapeutic grade eucalyptus oil, when it started to steam well, I'd transfer it to a bowl and ask him to breath into it while putting a towel over his head to direct all the steam inside his lungs. Also with every meal I made ginger/honey/lemon tea and made him drink so much water to stay hydrated and flush the infection our of his system and luckily his condition got better after a week and a half and he is fully recovered now.

Then I gave him a haircut which took me so so long, maybe 2 hours and a half, that long that after I was done I even forgot to take the "after" picture Hahaha apparently I didn't cut his hair enough because now his hair after one week is long again so I don't have any actual picture of the haircut that I worked so hard for :) But he said he liked what I created and that he will let me cut his hair again . . oh well, like he has any other choice haha!
