I hosted my very first Art solo exhibition at "The Clever Tiger Art Gallery and Studio" in Elgin Texas and still have to pinch myself to believe it actually happened. I created about 32 original acrylic on canvas pieces of abstract art in less than 3 months for this exhibition. Everything has worked out so smoothly from the beginning to the end!
Among everything I had prepared for the show the art above turned out the most popular piece with the crowd.
it's really interesting to see people's reaction to a art piece, how they interpret and relate their personal experiences to it.
There is a sense of depth connecting with people through art that I cannot experience it through words or other forms.
I also did a photoshoot in the living room with my all time trusty photographer "the tripod" testing the black backdrop I had purchased from Amazon. What's fun was that I was just merely testing out my light that day, but when the Gallery approached me for a Poster ideas I was able to use the test images that miraculously I happened to be posing that day with a paint brush (that was sitting on the kitchen isle from a long overdue home DIY painting project).
Here is my exhibition Statement that I submitted to the Gallery:
Prospect 1 launches the artist's first self-taught painting collection of abstract art on canvas with acrylic art medium. The Exhibit represents over 20 original pieces hand drawn and arranged specifically for installation of the show. The Sprit of Clouds is an improvisational collection drawing inspiration referencing the composition, delivery and strengths of the clouds. For their willingness to be transformed in both form and texture as well as exploring their ways to cope with change as the essence of their existence.
I recently started experimenting with watercolor one of my favorite mediums . . What is so meaningful is the fact that as soon as I posted my art on social media it found a new home . . I hope this colorful galaxy gives joy to its new owner as much as it did to me creating it.
